Lay Leaders

NEXT Church gatherings are for EVERYONE who is interested in the health and vitality of the church and we know that health and vitality can’t be achieved without ruling elders, deacons, and church members playing an active role.

We have a number of places in the National Gathering that we hope will be particularly helpful to lay leaders.

20% Off Registration

Use the code LayLeaderDiscount to receive 20% off your registration. The code is good for the Connector ($159) and Sustainer ($255) levels as well as single day tickets ($80-$103).

  • Connector: originally $199; discounted $159
  • Sustainer: originally $319; discounted $255
  • Day passes: originally $99 – $129; discounted $80 – $103

Make the choice that works best for you and your budget. (If the Gathering is still cost prohibitive, please apply for a scholarship; we don’t want cost to exclude anyone from participation.)

Please note: the lay leader discount code may be applied on the Eventbrite page by clicking “enter promotional code” at the top of the ticket page, which pops up when you click “tickets.”

  • NOW TO WOW: Transforming Elders for Adaptive Leadership Workshop
with Jesse G. Mabanglo and Eyde Mabanglo (Tuesday morning)
Lay Leader Connect

While we are ALL woven together in the church, we also know it can sometimes be difficult navigating the Gathering with so many good folk and programs. We invite you to connect with other lay leaders over coffee, dinner, or happy hour. Keep your eyes open and ears tuned to sign-up tables and announcements at the National Gathering itself for connection opportunities with fellow ruling elders/lay leaders. Join us for some fun and fellowship!

Happy Hour

Tuesday, 5:30 – 7:30pm

Please join us at the twilight reception in the Vista Rooms at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel for fellowship and a great sunset view! All National Gathering registrants will receive one free drink ticket.

Raising White Kids Breakfast

Wednesday, 7:00 – 9:30am

Join closing keynoter Jennifer Harvey for our “Raising White Kids – An Anti-Racism Conversation for All of Us” breakfast, where Jennifer will be offering a conversation on her new book, “Raising White Kids.”

Participants must register for this breakfast ahead of time by purchasing an additional ticket. Cost is $15.

Morning Bible Study
